Wondering what's going on?

Long time no talk. But I'm still around. I am launching my graphic design and illustration business. Which can be viewed at Julius Graphics (click to go to the site).

So what does that mean, and what does it have to do with "The Frozen Prophets"?

Well, actually it has a lot to do with it. I am reverting the story back to it's original format for now. Meaning I will be releasing it in the form of a Novel, prior to releasing it in a Graphic novel or Manga format.

Basically I am just to busy right now to take on the demands of pencilling, inking, lettering, toning, etc. That alone can add up to a full time job. And that is just time that I don't have right now. However, the story will be getting released as a manga sometime in 2012. No specific date is set as of right now. Chapter 1 is going to undergo a re-draw so it will better fit the rest of the art that I have done so far. Chapter 2 is complete, but I will not be releasing it.

Instead of releasing each chapter as I had originally planned, I will be releasing 5 to 6 chapter volumes. And, depending on the demands of my time, I may very well have to seek out another artist to assist me (at least with either the pencils or the inking/toning).

I am submitting my manuscript for the novel form of the story to a few select publishers to see how it will be received. Although I am not anticipating being picked up by a publisher, I just want to get some professional feedback and see what they have to say about it all.

I will probably self publish the book, (which means I will have to do all my own marketing). That's not a bad thing though, because for those of you who enjoy the story, it gives you and I a better chance to connect. I want to keep it personable. The 1 series in what I am anticipating as a 3 part series so far, should be due for release within the next two months. Again, this depends on the constraints of my time.

So, stay tuned, as I will be bringing this blog back to life in about another month. Talk to you guys soon.

I'm still here

Wow, has it been a long time since I've posted! In my absence I have stumbled on to a couple of other Illustration projects that are keeping me pretty busy. I'm doing the artwork for a graphic novel called Quartet Bay, it's a pretty awesome story, and I have roughed out a few pages so far. I'm excited to see this story visually unfold. Also, I'm going to be working on yet another graphic novel, this is based off a movie by independent film maker Brett DeJager. This is going to be an awesome project and I'm super excited to get it started.

The Frozen Prophets is kind of on a hiatus for the time being, however in my absence, I am still working on tweaking the story and constantly working on the character development. The next step in the story will be a complete re-draw of chapter one, following an immediate release of Chapter 2. This probably won't take place for a couple months, but I am really looking forward to working on it again.

There are a couple of other things in planning right now as well, but for now I'm gonna keep that under wraps. I'll start working on posting here more, I've noticed that I have had a lot of traffic recently, and sadly I have had no content for anyone. So, thank you very much for stopping by and know that your support is appreciated. I will be posting some cool pictures and maybe even some more videos as I get going again, in the near future.

Until then guys and girls...Take Care :)

FREE MANGA - Read Issue 1 of The Frozen Prophets

That's right everyone, I have the first issue of The Frozen Prophets right here on the blog for free!

You can read it by clicking here. (Or you can just click read Issue 1 on the navigation bar above).

I will be posting a teaser for Issue 2, I'm thinking the first five pages for now. And also offer pre-orders for a physical copy if you wish to purchase one. I won't take any money up front, I simply want to know how many books to order.

Issue 3 has been outlined in detail, the scripting is all done, and I will be getting started on the rough drafts/layouts in the next week or two. I still have to finish up on Issue 2, I have a few pages left to tone yet. But I wanted to get this first Issue up on the site for people to read.

Also, be on the lookout for some cool character bios coming very soon. I will be doing some "pin-up" art to go alongside the info. It should be pretty cool if it all comes out the way I have it dreamed up in my ever-so cluttered head.

I'm also thinking about doing some video and/or audio updates, let me know what you'd like to see or hear.

So, if you want to see the latest info and stay up to date for chances for free stuff, follow my blog.

So Here's the Plan for my self publishing

I just want to keep people up to date on my plans. Things have changed a little bit, and as I am still trying the route of self-publishing, I want to offer more ways to get my story into the hands of readers.

What does this mean, you ask?

Well, first off, I am working on getting the first chapter on this very blog to allow readers a free introduction to the story. I am hoping to have it all up and available within the next couple of days. I have actually stopped all work on the manga to get this all sorted out.

Second, I am planning on offering the manga on digital devices. I am currently researching different options and techniques. I have found one that, though I like it, I feel would be to much hassle for potential readers to want to go through, just for a comic they could easily find an alternative with less effort. (That was a mouthfull, so take a quick break....ready).

The other option is to submit it through to Ebook readers or distributors, which I find an excellent option, however, they seem to have a few cons along with their pros. So, more research is needed before I decide on anything.

This feels like a crucial point on the more business side of creating and self-publishing, and I just want to make sure that whatever I do, I am going to be satisfied that first off, the readers have quick and easy access to the story, with great quality and readability. Second, I want to ensure that I have chosen an option that allows me to quickly get the content out there. It takes long enough as it is right now to create the book, non-the-less taking the time to get it into your hands as the readers. You guys are who I aim to impress and keep entertained, and that is why I am trying to choose wisely.

Again, the first chapter will be up and available on this blog very soon, you will be able to read it for free, and it will have a link if you wish to purchase a physical copy. The second chapter will have the first couple pages posted when the entire chapter is finished (currently in the process of toning the last 10 pages).

The books will still be offered in print, but I will also be offering digital downloads of them (for a cheaper price than the print versions).

Thanks for reading all of this if you did, I am very open to your feedback on this matter, so please feel free to discuss and comment below (just click the comment), also, if you want to stay up to date on the goings-on then follow this blog, twitter, become a fan on facebook, and as always, help spread the word, it is all appreciated, Thanks guys.
